Surface of the Month - Travertine
Who does not know the travertine terraces near Pamukkale in Turkey. Travertine (Latin 'lapis tiburtinus', stone from Tivoli) is a more or less porous limestone, which consists almost exclusively of calcium carbonate. In the building industry, travertine is used as natural stone and for decoration. Characteristic for travertine is its unmistakable play of colours: light, usually with a yellowish or brownish, rarely beige or red appearance. The ArmaReno 700 'travertine' technique creates visual and tactile associations to this beautiful limestone.
